Battery, Charging and Starting Systems
A dead battery is many times an indication of another problem. Using "state-of-the-art" electronic equipment we diagnose the most common electrical system problems in today's vehicles. This check ensures that all electrical systems are operating properly to achieve maximum life and dependability. Our process includes the following:
  • A full analysis of your battery's condition, including its state of charge and ability to hold a charge.
  • An inspection and analysis of the vehicle's starting and charging system, including the starter, the alternator and the voltage regulator to ensure proper charging to maximize the life of the battery.
  • An inspection of and adjustment of the alternator belt if necessary. A loose alternator belt can cause your battery to discharge prematurely.

Fuel Injection Service
When your car idles rough, hesitates, stalls, or it does not seem to have the power or fuel economy it once had, a Fuel Injection Service may be the answer. Often these symptoms are mistaken as signs that a tune up is needed. As you drive your car, carbon deposits build up on fuel injectors, engine valves and in the combustion chambers. Deposits also form on the throttle body, and in the intake manifold as well as in the catalytic converter. This accumulation of carbon and sludge can cause a drastic drop in both fuel economy and performance. Fuel additives are largely ineffective because they target only the fuel injectors and are not concentrated enough to clean away stubborn carbon build up. They do nothing to address the other areas that are arguably more important than the fuel injectors. The only proven way to clean the entire fuel and intake systems, as well as the combustion chambers, engine valves, and catalytic converter is by performing a comprehensive Fuel Injection Service. For this service to be effective, it must be performed by a qualified technician using the proper equipment and solvent solution. It is recommended that this service be performed every 2 years or 25,000 miles as part of your routine maintenance schedule to keep your car running clean and efficiently, and performing like it did when it was new.

Fuel System Warning Signs:
  • Your vehicle is hesitating.
  • Your vehicle is having trouble starting.
  • Your vehicle is achieving poor gas mileage.
  • Your vehicle is operating sluggish with poor performance.

Computerized Wheel Alignment
An easy way to substantially improve your vehicles handling and extend the life of your tires is to be alert to signs of misalignment and to have your wheels aligned immediately if signs appear. Wheels become out of alignment due to many factors such as dramatic stops and starts, hitting curbs hard, accidents, heavy loads, potholes, and normal wear and tear as the vehicle gets older. Our technicians will align your vehicle so that your tires wear properly and the vehicle travels straight while driving. By properly correcting Caster, Camber, Toe and Thrust Angle, it will increase tire life, reduce wear and tear on steering components and improve the handling characteristics of your vehicle.

Alignment Problem Warning Signs:
  • Your steering wheel is not straight when driving on a level road.
  • You hear strange noises in your suspension system.
  • The vehicle wanders from side to side.
  • Your vehicle pulls or drifts to one side when you drive in a straight line or brake.
  • You hear squeals when you turn.

Transmission Flush Service
Transmission fluid is often referred to as the hardest working fluid in your car. It is responsible for 1) lubricating hundreds of moving parts in your transmission, 2) serving as a coolant to reduce the tremendous temperatures created in normal use, 3) keeping the transmission clean and free of contaminants, and 4) maintaining the hydraulic properties that allow your transmission to shift properly under constantly changing conditions. Over time your transmission fluid loses its ability to perform. If the fluid is left in beyond its useful life, wear and deterioration of the bearings, clutches, and other internal components will result. Eventually the transmission will fail and require overhaul or replacement. The cost of a transmission rebuild can be from $1500 to $3000, and even higher on some cars. Our ASE certified technicians connect our advanced flushing equipment that allows us to replace every bit of the fluid in the complete transmission. It also flushes out any impurities that could contaminate the new fluid, leaving the transmission with fluid as clean as the day it was new.
Recommended Interval: 3 years / 36,000 miles

Power Steering Flush Service
Just as engine oil requires replacement so does your power steering fluid. As with any oil it breaks down over time and use. Power steering fluid is not subjected to the same heat that engine oil is and therefore does not require replacement as often. This fluid does still break down however and requires replacement. We suggest that you change your power steering fluid to avoid undue wear or breakdown in the system. Allow us to use our high performance power steering flush kit by Wynn's, which includes a cleaner, all the fluid to flush and replace the old, and an additive to dramatically reduce component wear.
Recommended Interval: 2 years / 25,000 miles

Tire Services

Tire Rotation
Tire rotation can be beneficial in several ways. When done at the recommended times it can preserve balanced handling and traction of the tires. It can even out tire wear and can provide performance advantages. We recommend that high performance tires be rotated every 3,000-4,000 miles, whether or not they show signs of wear. Have you checked your tires recently? Have a flat tire? Slow leak? Do you notice a vibration while driving? Or is it time for scheduled rotation? Whether you are purchasing new tires or need service on your old set, at Auto Service Experts, we have trained technicians and state-of-the-art equipment to safely install, repair and service your tires. When it comes to tires we are the professionals. Our certified technicians will fully inspect your tires to make the right recommendations concerning repair or replacement. We offer a full line of tires and tire services.
Recommended Interval: 6 months / 6,000 miles

Tire Balancing
Auto Techs' technicians will balance your tires to ensure proper handling, smooth ride and maximum tread life. A proper balancing of your existing tires or new tires will:
  • Eliminate tire vibration for a more comfortable ride
  • Help eliminate unusual tire wear patterns
  • Protect your tire investment

Flat Repair
When a flat tire occurs the tire should be dismounted and closely inspected inside and out for any possible damage. Punctures up to 1/4-inch diameter in the tread area can be safely repaired using industry-approved methods. Tires with punctures larger than 1/4-inch diameter or sidewall damage must be replaced.

Other Services

Scheduled (Preventative) Maintenance
Auto Service Experts will help you establish a maintenance schedule and keep track of your basic car care. Regular maintenance of your car is like health insurance for your transportation. Your vehicles need regular maintenance to retain their safety, dependability, performance, fuel economy, and emission control capabilities. Regular maintenance also makes sound financial sense. Lower-cost maintenance and service can help prevent higher-cost repairs. Regular maintenance will also help to prolong the life of your tires, brakes, and other vehicle components and systems. Preventative Maintenance is the commonly used terminology because it helps to prevent costly and dangerous breakdowns and repairs. AND, the maintenance recommendations for new cars are the basis of the manufacturer's warranty. The automaker warrants your vehicle against defects over the specified time or mileage IF the vehicle receives the scheduled maintenance. Your owner's manual is the best source for a list of maintenance services and the time and/or mileage intervals at which they should be performed.
